I had a copy of this--got it when I was 15. Maybe I still have it. It meant so much then, even though i was never religious. Loved Murray head especially.
A fellow Lutheran! Hail, Reformers! I grew up in the LC-Missouri Synod. What was your Synod (there were/are about 3 or 4 different ones)? In fact, it was going to the LCMS-connected Concordia U in Irvine, CA (Orange County) that I went to in the mid-'80s (the career turn that took me out of the record biz....why my '80s musical knowledge is thin, at best)! Going to college, then starting a 6-year career as a full-time, certified DCE (Director of Christian Ed)/youth minister at two SoCal LCMS congregations!
I don't know what Synod we were part of. I actually had to look that up. The churches were in Minnesota and Ohio. I remember Sunday school and getting confirmed, and that is about all I can recall. That's cool that you were a youth minister. We were a handful and probably gave ours more than a few grey hairs on our retreats.
Oh, yeah…..retreats, lock-ins, youth nights….I loved it, though! My teen boys (especially) loved my radio and record store stories, and all the bands I saw and met! I mention my core brood in this one:

Yea, he was great. I had no idea Murray Head of “One Night In Bangkok” fame was in that.
