This inspired me to look up The Rembrandts first hit, "Just The Way It Is" and it doesn't sound anything like what I remembered. I'd swear it was almost sort of... alternative? Not only is it straight-up pop, it's lighter than I remember. Funny how the memory plays tricks with the past.

Funny indeed. That's a great song too.

Great song, yet as you say, success can be just as much about the moment as the music. Landing a tv show theme song has got to be both a blessing and a curse, welding a visual image to the music that’s hard to shake. Still, this is a striking album cover.

When I saw “Great Buildings” pop up in my alerts, I was THRILLED - those guys were my pals from the days Danny and Ian were in The Quick! No better power pop pedigree regardless of their output - they worked with Earl Mankey at the PEAK of Sparks career and that was their first record… Danny W went on to collaborate with Robert Palmer too

Thanks! I spoke with Danny and Phil about this album on my podcast. They couldn't have been nicer or more fun to chat with.
